Beamsville, Ontario

In 1788 King George III granted ownership of a large tract of Crown land to Jacob Beam Junior, United Empire Loyalist, whose father is known as the founder of Beamsville. Given the town’s location in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, along the southern shore of Lake Ontario, farms flourished and stately homes soon sprang up.

Today many of these homes can still be found including the original Jacob beam homestead on King Street in Beamsville.

Every fall, Beamsville hosts the Lincoln County Agricultural Fair, one of the region’s largest.
