The Kirby House

Willian Kirby, a notable Canadian writer and journalist was born at Kingston-upon-Hull, England in 1817 and with his parents immigrated to the U.S. in 1832. His grandmother was a United Empire Loyalist and she may have been the one to instill the strong pro-British sentiment that would resonate throughout his life.
