Comfort Maple Conservation Area
The Comfort Maple is said to be the oldest living Sugar Maple Tree in Canada. There is no doubt that this tree located on Metler Road in Pelham was already 300 years old around the time of the War of 1812. Today the area has been preserved as well at attempts to ensure the stability of the maple, which has suffered the ravages of time.The park entrance is on Metler Road, east of Victoria Avenue.
